The 2020 Big Rock Tournament will take place June 5-13, 2020 in Morehead City. Among the largest and oldest sport fishing tournaments in the country, The Big Rock calls avid deep-sea fishermen to North Carolina’s Crystal Coast for a full week of angling and community celebration. Crystal Coast Highland Games

October 31, 2020 | 9:00 am - 4:00 pm

Eastern North Carolina has had many influences that have shaped the culture that we all enjoy. Among those is immigration of people from the island and Highlands of Scotland, with many of the current inhabitants and place names being of that Scottish heritage.  The gathering of groups of families in Scotland have been an important feature of Scottish culture, in the past as well as today. With the inclusion of competitions in dance, athletics and music these gatherings became known as Highland Games. Gathering of people of all origins is encouraged at Highland games that occur in North Carolina and across North America , with millions of people attending each year.  The skirl of bagpipes and the wearing of tartan and kilts along with the excitement of tossing the caber draw people back again and again. Admission fee. For more details, find us on Facebook.
