Debuting a modern, beach-chic ambience that appeals to leisure travelers and those seeking a fresh, sophisticated setting for meetings and events. Bed and Breakfasts
Quaint bed and breakfast cottages in Historic Beaufort allow visitors to immerse themselves in historic surroundings, with the ultimate in personalized comfort. No detail goes overlooked with handmade quilts adorning antique canopy beds and halls echoing with memories of the past. Their small stature allows staff the freedom to interact on a personal level greeting guests each morning with aromas of a hearty breakfast.

Anchorage House

The Anchorage House, an 1883 Gothic Revival Cottage, welcomes guests with the pleasant sights and smells associated with southern hospitality, almost as if the original residents had never left but continued to bustle around the house.

A large living area filled with remnants of the former life of the house such as an ornate mantel, a gas stove and lovingly worn leather couches greet guests like old friends. The four guest suites of the inn each possess a style as distinctive as the guests inhabiting it, all with their own wrought iron beds, priceless antiques and wood burning stoves.

The Cedars by the Sea

It is no surprise that The Cedars is one of Fodor’s 15 Great American Bed and Breakfasts and was featured by Southern Living as the best area hotel in 2015, and is also featured on Condé Nast Johansens’ list of Recommended Hotels, Inns and Resorts. The historic inn personifies Beaufort’s salty charm and encompasses 11 guest suites, each with charming Victorian furnishings and decorations, mixed with modern touches. Walking into the quaint Victorian lobby is like taking a step back in time, with a sweet, comfortable living room, delectable wine bar and dining room filled with the smells of a freshly cooked breakfast every morning. The Bristol suite features a large sitting room with fireplace and soft blue and rose color palette with handsome furnishing, while the Eastlake Room is favored for its soaking tub and proximity to the upstairs porch offering breathtaking views of Taylor’s Creek and the wild ponies of Carrot Island wildlife refuge frolicking freely.

The Pecan Tree Inn

Built in 1866 as a Masonic Lodge, guests staying at the Pecan Inn will find the quintessential southern inn experience with breezy wrap-around porches, a 5,000-foot English flower and herb garden and seven elegant guest rooms, including two suites with in-room Jacuzzis. Each room features various Victorian inspired furnishings complete with cherry four-poster canopy beds, large antique armoires and ornate oriental rugs.

Inlet Inn

As seen on The Weather Channel and NBC’s The Today Show, this family-run harbor-front bed and breakfast hotel is situated in the historic waterfront district, and is a one-minute walk from the Beaufort Docks and the ferry, a four-minute walk from the North Carolina Maritime Museum and a half-mile from US Route 70.
The cozy rooms have simple furnishings and decor, and come with free WiFi, TVs with cable channels and mini fridges. Some have extra features including vaulted ceilings, fireplaces and private porches or window seats with harbor views. Free perks include a continental breakfast served either in-room or in the third-floor balcony lounge, parking and WiFi. Boat slips are also available for a fee.
