After Hours Rotary Club of Morehead City is hosting a lip sync battle at Jack’s Waterfront Bar on August 24th, from 5-8PM. Come vote for your favorite of 15 teams that will be performing. 2019 Lookout Shootout Fun Run

What started out as a boyhood passion has become one of the most popular events on the Morehead City Waterfront. A small group of volunteers put together an event for the locals and invited guests and participants from as far away as Florida. We welcome everyone to the Crystal Coast, one of the most beautiful coasts on the east coast. Let’s take a ride in our boats for a good cause.

NC East Sports, a non-profit organization, is dedicated to engage, gather and inspire family, friends and visitors of all ages from all over the country to the Crystal Coast, focusing on local support for a seasonal community and provide an action pact event for participants and spectators and boating enthusiasts

We consider the Lookout Shootout Fun Run a welcome addition to all the activities that take place on and around the intracoastal waterway.  The Fun Run is a Saturday event that takes you to stops in Oriental, Cape Lookout, Beaufort and Morehead City to compete for the best poker hand. There is a blackjack option available as well.

The North Carolina Seafood Festival

The North Carolina Seafood Festival takes place on the Morehead City Waterfront. The largest three-day festival in North Carolina, its highlights are an endless variety of seafood prepared in a multitude of ways, street dances, concerts, arts and crafts (about 200 vendors), Flounder Fling and an International Award-Winning Chef’s Tent, Southern Outer Banks Boat Show, educational exhibits, hands-on programs for kids and rides and games. Saturday night fireworks are enjoyed by festival goers and neighbors alike. The festivities are spread from the North Carolina State Port to 11th Street on the beautiful Morehead City waterfront. The event will begin at 7:00 pm with a social hour of wine and hors d’oeuvres followed by a concert featuring the beautiful and talented Jeanne Jolly! She will be singing selections from her three albums, “Falling in Carolina”, “Angels” and “A Place to Run” plus a few popular covers. We are thrilled to have Jeanne perform for us once again. This will be her 5th event supporting fundraising efforts for the Clinic! Jeanne Jolly is an award-winning singer-songwriter from Raleigh, NC. After graduating from the New England Conservatory with a Masters in Vocal Performance, she was the featured vocalist for Grammy Award winning jazz trumpet player, Chris Botti. She has played such venues as Carnegie Hall and the Monterey Jazz Festival, just to name a few. She has also been a performing artist with the NC Symphony, Pops Concert. This should prove to be a night to remember! We hope you will join us to make this one of our best fundraisers to date! 62nd Annual Big Rock Blue Marlin Tournament

The 2020 Big Rock Tournament will take place June 5-13, 2020 in Morehead City. Among the largest and oldest sport fishing tournaments in the country, The Big Rock calls avid deep-sea fishermen to North Carolina’s Crystal Coast for a full week of angling and community celebration. Over the course of the last half-century, many boats have docked here, many tourists have gathered here, and many Morehead City natives have come and gone.
