Looking for local liquor options? Look no further than Bogue Sound Distillery. Beginning March 29th guests will enjoy tours, exploring the operation and visiting the tasting room.  There they will find a wood bar topped with aged long leaf pine originally cut in 1880. Behind the bar you’ll see tin, copper and glass to showcase their fine spirits.

Founder, Richard Chapman, worked for several years to bring his dream to life. Born out of a love of coastal living and his family’s history of distilling, the large facility houses a museum-style display including a restored 1923 Ford Model-T pickup complete with shine barrels. A Williams Grist Mill from the early 1900’s and some family history round out the display and contribute to the prohibition-era, speak easy atmosphere.

Guests can tour the distillery to see Bogue Sound’s 500-gallon still and 27-gallon test still at work producing premium liquors. Made from only the best grain available, their quality spirits include gluten-free vodka, gin and rye whiskey. In coming weeks and months, darker liquors will be added to the distillery’s lineup, including their signature John A.P. Conoley single malt whiskey and additional flavored gins.

The Distillery will be open to the public for the weekend of March 29-31. Visitors are welcome to browse the facility, tasting room, and museum display. Tastings will be scheduled for each of the distillery’s available spirits. You’re sure to enjoy the experience and the fine quality spirits of Bogue Sound Distillery.
