Q: Are dogs allowed on the beaches?
A: Yes, as long as they are on a leash at all times.
 
Q: Is grilling allowed on Crystal Coast beaches?
A: Grilling is not permitted on Bogue Banks beaches (Emerald Isle, Indian Beach, Salter Path and AtlanticBeach), but is allowed on Cape Lookout National Seashore.
 
Q: Where can I park to go on the beach?
A: There are many public beach accesses along NC Highway 58 marked by signs with blue letters and a seagull flying in an orange circle.  Several offer restroom facilities and picnic areas.
 
Q: How long does it take to get to the ferry?
A: It takes approximately one hour from Morehead City to drive to the Cedar Island ferry.  You need to be at the ferry 30 minutes prior to departure and reservations are recommended.
 
Q: Is a fishing license required to fish on the Crystal Coast and where can I purchase one?
A: Yes, a fishing license is required and may be purchased at the Division of Marine Fisheries office (3441 Arendell Street, Morehead City, NC  28557), Wildlife Resources Commission (WRC) license agents (which include most Wal-Mart stores), EJW Sports (4667 Arendell Street, Morehead City, NC  28557) or on-line at www.wildlife.org.
