The first annual Hair Ball is going to take place on February 25th starting with ‘welcome cocktails’ at 6pm at Jack’s Waterfront Bar in Morehead City. The event is a fundraiser for Locks of Love, a public non-profit organization that provides hairpieces to financially disadvantage children in the United States and Canada suffering from long-term medical hair loss from any diagnosis.

The Hair Ball will include a cocktail reception with hor’doeuvres provided by local restaurants, a silent wig auction, haircutting demonstrations and a fashion show. Two local residents will also donate their hair that evening which will be cut on stage to the cheers of the crowd.

Tickets are available in advance for $15 at Jack’s Waterfront Bar and participating salons. Tickets will be $20 at the door on that evening. For more information, call 459-0027 or 732-0026.
